The ability to stake a claim on land, making it and everything on it your property. This includes the inside of mines, and cabins.

How to AcquireEdit

To stake a claim, you need the Yeomanry skill.

To build a stake claim, navigate to Adventure > Stake Claim.

  • The claim starts of as a 5x5 square around the totem. You can expand your claim at 10 LP per square. This is done by increasing the dimensions of the claim (north, east, south, west); you cannot add individual squares.
  • You may only own one claim, but you can at any time declaim your area. This will refund your LP used and allow you to place a new claim. You do not need to repurchase the Yeomanry skill.
  • Claim stakes do NOT decay.
  • They also can NOT be destroyed with the vandalism skill as long as long as the owning character of the claim is still active. Should the claim be given up by the owner (by not logging in for 30 ingame days) you can destroy the stake claim with vandalism. Vandalism scents from destroying the stake on a forsaken claim vanish with the stake (other scents left on the claim persist).
  • As a general suggestion, declaim land before leaving the game for extended periods of time - you get the LP back, the claim stake is cheap to rebuild, and most of the objects on your claim will have decayed and might as well be of use to others.
  • Your claim can be declaimed by the lawspeaker of the village if it is covered by the village claim.
  • You can set permissions for memorised people. There are 3 different permissions: Trespassing, Theft and Vandalism.
    • You don't set permissions for individual people. Instead, you set permissions per colour. In the Kin window you can set the colours for everyone you memorised.
    • Party members have all permissions under your claim, even if they are not allowed by claim settings. So don't form parties with someone you don't trust.
